Rider Story

Adapting the ride. Chasing the next ribbon.

At 13 years old, Annabelle is a passionate para rider who was born with bilateral limb differences and uses prosthetic legs to help her navigate the world. She has been riding since she was 11 and has shown incredible bravery, determination, and resilience throughout her journey.

Annabelle rides her trusted partner, Dottie, a quiet Quarter Horse mare. Despite having lower leg prosthetics, she has adapted her riding style to communicate effectively with Dottie and rides with remarkable skill and confidence.

Together, they enjoy riding lessons, clinics, trail rides, and competing at Western Games shows, where they love barrel racing and pole bending and proudly bring home ribbons from every competition they attend.

Through hard work, perseverance, and the special bond she shares with Dottie, Annabelle continues to inspire those around her, proving that courage and determination can overcome any obstacle.
